Bath Half Marathon 2020: Where to watch it, event details and timings

The Bath Half Marathon is almost up on us!

The Bath Half Marathon is a fantastic day for the city of Bath with thousands of runners and supporters cheering along the streets of the city centre. With the Bath Half Marathon almost here, we’ve put together a handy guide for the day with some commonly asked questions.

Good luck from everyone at Green Park Brasserie running on Sunday 15th!

Where should I go to watch the Bath Half Marathon?

There are designated “best viewing points” across the 13.2 mile route including outside us at Green Park Brasserie along Green Park Road. This is a great spot to enjoy a coffee and croissant and cheer the Bath Half Marathon runners along as this is a particularly wide stretch of the course and allows great viewing and a brilliant atmosphere. From here you can pass through Green Park Station to watch runners returning on the Lower Bristol Road stretch.

Starting and finishing on Great Pulteney Street, Bath Half Marathon loops down through Widcombe before crossing the River Avon at the bottom of Wells Road and tracking up to Green Park and onto Queen Square. Upon completion of the second lap (identical to the first) the runners ignore the Churchill Bridge turn off and enter the final mile and half back through Widcombe towards Bathwick St Mary's church at the bottom of Bathwick Hill before making a left turn down onto the final straight to cross the finish line on Great Pulteney Street.
